SAVEUR, PURVIS STREET

IMG_7590Saveur has got to be one of my favourite places to go to for cheap and reasonably good french cuisine. However, a queue will start to form 15 minutes before opening hours so if you want to get in at the first seating, do come early.

IMG_7603Angel Hair Pasta With Sherry Minced Pork And Sakura Ebi ($4.90). I have never liked angel hair pasta because it’s too thin and most places tend to overcook it. But the one at Saveur was al dante and the toppings were perfection.

IMG_7610It does taste a little like the minced pork noodles we get at hawker stalls but in a more refined and elegant way.

IMG_7615I love the duck confit ($10.90). Crispy on the outside, fork tender on the inside. This has got to be the cheapest duck confit ever.

IMG_7616Ordered a serving of this creamy and ultra garlicky Potato au Gratin.

Saveur is definitely a place that I would revisit again and again. But the queues do put me off a little.
